Adapalene
For most acne patients, a form of Vitamin A such as adapalene is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART of the treatment program. Adapalene 0.1% gel can be bought without a prescription, but other chemically modified versions of retinol called retinoids are prescription medications. If you have acne, then you should be using adapalene or another retinoid at bedtime (unless you happen to be pregnant or breastfeeding). Expect at least 6 weeks of use before seeing results. Use adapalene on the ENTIRE face, NOT as a spot treatment.
